Azlan is a highly experienced leader with 26 years of expertise in managing profitable B2B

businesses in the fields of systems integration, consulting, and telecommunications.

Throughout his career, he has successfully led business transformation programmes,

overseen technology operations, and implemented delivery for both local and global

companies. Prior to joining Awantec, Azlan was the Group CEO of DNEX IT and eServices, a

publicly listed entity on the main board of Bursa Malaysia. His responsibilities involved

managing and ensuring the growth of IT companies within the Group's portfolio. Previously,

as the Chief Enterprise Officer at Celcom Axiata, he was accountable for the full Enterprise

P&L, achieving significant revenue growth of over 30% by expanding the digital and

solutions business.

Azlan also served as the Country Managing Partner of IBM Malaysia's Global Business

Services (GBS), leading a team of over 200 consultants. Under his leadership, the group

successfully executed GBS's Digital Transformation plan, implementing new digital and

cognitive offerings along with an enhanced delivery and operating model, resulting in

substantial financial and signing growth.

Azlan's strengths lie in strategic planning, with a keen ability to analyse current business

needs, identify customer trends, evaluate the competitive landscape, monitor technology

advancements, and formulate strategic plans for new business opportunities. He excels in

managing large-scale transformation programmes encompassing people, processes, and

technology, ensuring successful outcomes. With extensive global experience across Asia,

Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Azlan has built strong and motivated teams across

more than 15 countries.

As the Chief Executive Officer of Awantec starting from 1 June 2023, Azlan will

optimise the company's current business and investment plans to improve and expand its

market presence, capitalising on its position and market potential for growth. He will

oversee various tasks to meet market requirements for technology and talent services,

driving the business forward.

Azlan is adept at establishing and managing strategic partnerships and relationships,

excelling in leadership and communication to drive enthusiasm, innovation, consensus, and

collaboration for critical business initiatives. He holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship from

Imperial College UK and a BSc in Commerce with concentrations in MIS and Accounting from

the University of Virginia. Azlan's accomplishments include being recognised in the

American Top University Programme as a JPA Scholar in 1991 and receiving the Tun Razak

Youth Leadership Award in 1998.
